June 12th will be our first ‘Summer Evening Bird Walk’ at McKinley Woods- Frederick’s Grove in Channahon. Meet at the second/lower parking lot (drive until you can go no further) at 6:30pm. We will be exploring through wooded areas and along the I&M Canal. Trails are dirt and gravel. This area is a birding hotspot in Will County with commonly seen species such as Prothonotary Warblers, American Redstarts, Pileated Woodpeckers, Great-crested Flycatchers, and much more. *Please dress appropriately for hiking and the weather, and don’t forget your bug spray!!
