Thorn Creek Woods Preserve (247 Monee Rd, Park Forest, IL 60466). Meet on Friday, May 23rd at 9am in the nature center parking lot (it’s an old white church building). This is a more advanced ~4 mile hike through some of the most unique landscape in Will County. There are native Savannah woods, creeks, ephemeral ponds, jungle-like areas of dense vine, towering pine woods, boardwalks and more. Species counts are rarely ever below 30 at this location, so join me for a unique experience!
