We are very excited to be hosting an extended field trip to Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary in Chicago on Friday, May 10th.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation. We will meet at the main entrance to the “Magic Hedge” on West Montrose Harbor Drive at 9AM. The main entrance is pictured above. Both metered and free street parking is available on Montrose Harbor Ave and N Simmons Dr. Some of us may go extra early for sunrise photo opportunities on Montrose Beach. You may see upwards of 40 species alone on this trip including warblers, gulls, shorebirds, raptors, waterfowl, sparrows, thrushes, and more. It truly is an amazing place to experience!
