Rita Renwick presents photos and anecdotes from her recent two week trip to Panama. She stayed in 3 canopy family locations from the higher elevations and Pacific dry forests to
the Central lowlands, and finally the tropical wilderness of the Darien, including a river trip at the end of the PanAmerican Highway.

A native of LaSalle County, Illinois, Rita Renwick developed a lifelong commitment to conservation while growing up near the confluence of the Vermilion and Illinois Rivers. Her extensive leadership includes serving as President of both the Illinois Audubon Society—where she has been a board member for 30 years—and the local Will County Audubon chapter.

For more than a quarter-century, Rita has been a dedicated volunteer and coordinator at Lake Renwick and bird monitor at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. She currently serves as the Conservation Chair of Will County Audubon.
