Whooping Cranes are one of the most endangered species in North America. From a population low of less than 25 birds in the 1940’s, this species has recovered to now over 800. The presenter will discuss the natural history of Whooping Cranes, threats that lead to low population numbers, and recovery efforts that led to their current status as well as what the future holds for this magnificent bird.
