Welcome to the Will County Audubon Society
In the 1940’s, a group of local birders met and formed an Audubon Club. We officially became the Will County Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society in 1971. The Illinois Audubon Society is a not-for-profit conservation organization chartered by the State of Illinois in 1897.
We are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to increasing the appreciation and knowledge of wild birds and protecting the natural world. We sponsor field trips to identify native and migratory birds and hold programs with environmental and conservation themes.
